Heatline Boilers PRV Passing Empty Heatline Boilers PRV Passing

If you come across a Heatslave that has a passing PRV or you have a job to change the expansion vessel undo the nut on the expansion vessel slowly as the flexible pipe gets blocked up, so even though the boiler has been drained the expansion vessel is still fully charged. Also when ordering the PRV order the p2p washers as it may have to be removed depending how tight the PRV is

hi jim, just to "expand" Rolling Eyes on the subject a little more. All those boilers with flexible to ev, if you suspect it is blocked, then release the air pressure via the shraeder valve before pulling the clip on the connection. Saves a wet face and pcb. If changing the ev and its full of water, open the drain off, or prv if changing that as well, connect your bicycle pump to the shraeder valve and pump with air to push out the water. Makes less mess when lifting from the boiler, not to mention a lot lighter if you can only grip with your finger tips, as is often the case.
